Topical events are presented in the form of a video news bulletin containing two curriculum-focused reports aimed at key stages 3 and 4. Each report is integrated into the relevant subject areas.
Topics covered to date include the UN climate change report, the nationalisation of Northern Rock, the debate over the welfare of intensively-farmed chickens, Virgin Galactic's plans for space tourism and Fidel Castro's resignation as President of Cuba.
News Bites bulletins for language teaching are also available. Presented by native speakers, they feature a range of topical and cultural stories: French news items include President Sarkozy's visit to the UK and the Algerian women's volleyball team preparing for the Beijing Olympics, while Spanish News Bites features Prime Minister Zapatero's new cabinet and one of the world's youngest bullfighters from Mexico.
