Technical specifications
Clipbank is a video-rich, dynamic website that lives locally within your school network or Local Authority’s WAN.
Unlike a normal website, the Clipbank site is made up of high resolution videos that are large in size and therefore require a certain infrastructure to successfully run and support them.
As such, we recommend minimum technical requirements in order to successfully run the Clipbank service in your school. Meeting these requirements will result in an optimal experience for you and your students.
Network
- A Broadband connection with a minimum download bandwidth of 256Kbps
- A fully operable 100Mbit Network
- Wireless networks are supported, but due to contention across a wireless network the number of clients running the Clipbank service simultaneously will be limited depending on your infrastructure. Espresso/Channel 4 Learning recommend a minimum 108Mb wireless access point per classroom or per 10 client machines.
